My own Bentonite clay hair wash.
Heyyyyyyo, so happy with this mix
I have had this container of bentonite clay from last year that has only been used twice.
I attempted to wash my hair with it and did not have favourable results with it.:(
MY HAIR WAS DRY
The first time i mixed it with ACV and saw that baby start to sizzle. I took the chance as afraid as I was and still used it but my hair was dry.
I then used water instead of ACV but my hair was still dry.
But there was something that made me want to revisit Bent Clay.
My hair felt clean and looked clean ( like all the gunk was off it ) just that it felt dry and hard
SO this weekend I finally revisited and made some alterations
And I want to share this Recipe with you
Things needed
1/4 cup aloe vera juice ( made my own ) DIY aloe vera juice
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup bentonite clay
1 tbls castor oil ( i used a jamaican brand with the real deal)
5- 10 drops essential oil ( i used peppermint ) but this is optional
I washed my baby girls hair with this and a bit was left over so if you have longer hair you can use this. My hair was in twists that i did not want to take out for another week so she was my guinea pig . I know she'd be fine though as most of the ingredients ,her hair loves.

This is the consistency ( kinda puddingy )
The untangled pre wash look
The untangled pre wash look
After applying ( I just finger parted and applied shingling style )
Covered with a plastic bag for about half hour
Post wash ( still undetangled )
My opinion
- You have to really rinse for everything to be out . After all it is clay
-The prep time wasnt too bad , the most being that I had to prepare the Aloe Vera Juice
- Ms A. had undetangled hair from a twist out , and this mixture really worked
- Her hair was soft and looked darker < Like that really clean-get rid of the gunk - new hair darker look.
She actually went to sleep ( it was saturday aka busy mother day ) before I was able to detangle her hair and twist it ,so just think undetangled clean dry hair.
BUT
When she woke up i just spritzed with water and detangling was so easy.
I went ahead and just rope twisted it and her hair just layed down so neat .
It was like each strand was on their best behaviour

I flat twisted the ends around her head so that it would be curly for church next day
Next week Ill be trying this mix on my hair when I take my twist down.
Let me know if you try this and the results
Nats
