Product Review: Yes to Carrots Scalp Relief Shampoo

As everyone knows, I have been suffering from a dry, flaky and itchy scalp. I have tried so many different things with no avail! It has been a frustrating and embarrassing issue. It is no fun to try to hide flaking. Just when I thought I had my hair figured out! Ha! Well, I think I have found my solution. I went into Walgreens to purchase Shea Moistures Black Soap Shampoo because Chelsyea has posted some raving reviews about how much it has helped her itchy scalp.

When I got to Walgreens, I found that they didn’t carry it. But I was determined not to leave without something to help me. I searched and searched… nothing was truly all natural. Finally I got to the organic section with burt bees, and other things… and I saw Finally I got to the organic section with burt bees, and other things… and I saw YES to Carrots scalp relief. I flipped the bottle and read:

My thoughts: My initial thought was, “I am allergic to carrots. This could be a bad deal.” I stared at the bottle a while longer. Jen loves the Yes to Carrots conditioner. It has natural ingredients. And that is a serious claim to say that it will relieve my scalp issues in 7 days! How many products can actually make that claim? To state that it is clinically proven to improve my scalp issues? Wow. You better believe I walked out with a bottle. And yes I glanced over my shoulder and thought about buying two bottles!

Price: $8

Where to purchase? Wal-Mart, and Walgreens. Other places may carry it. You can always purchase it online too

How I Used it: I rinsed my hair thoroughly with water and sectioned it into four workable sections. I applied the shampoo directly to my scalp and worked it in the pads of my fingers. I worked it and worked it. The more I rubbed it, the more invigorating it felt! When I rinsed my hair was stripped but not unbelievably so. After thoroughly rinsing, I applied Trader Joes Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner. It was such a refreshing and invigorating hair wash. I felt like I have peppermint in my blood stream! Lol just kidding… When I got out of the shower I applied Giovanni Direct Leave in Conditioner and Grape seed oil. Then I finger detangled in sections. I bunned it and wrapped it for bed. The next day my hair was so soft- Incredibly soft!

My Review: I was skeptical about the bold claims. But now I am sold and I will never go back. Unless there are some side effects that I haven’t yet experienced. Recently my scalp has been so bad that by the very next day after washing, my scalp is already itching. And by day two, it is almost unbearable! I am on day two and my scalp still feels invigorated, fresh and clean. And my hair is still utterly soft. It is so soft that I am having trouble styling it because it just comes undone!

I cannot tell you have pleased I am with this product. If you have a scalp issue I can almost promise you this will work unless you have a serious allergy to the ingredients. I am not exaggerating. It works!
