"Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned." (Song of Solomon 8:6-7)
Ah, beautiful stuff.
his has been one of my favorite scriptures since high school. We sang a choral arranbement that sang these lyrics. I remember crying every time we finished singing it because I wanted to find a love that deep someday. Thank God I have found that love in him. I have found that love in my husband. It is amazing the parallel between marriage and God's love for the church. Bro Jones talked about returning to your first love. The most important thing you can do is maintain your passion, desire and intimacy with the Lord. People backslide, feel the need to be enteretained, satisfy their desire to be of the world, and leave the church when they fall out of love with Jesus. T I looked around and thought- conferences are great, and dressing up is fun, but more than anything I want to be saved. I want to be the bride of Christ. He is still looking for a bride!! I am so thankful for the reminder that we have to stay in love with the Lord.
Once we got done praying, I got to meet and re-unite with some awesome ladies!!
Jen from Texas! Finally got to meet her in person. She is even more beautiful in person! I tell ya :)
Anali, the beauty from Nor Cal! She is hilarious, bubbly and so much fun! I walked up to her to hug her and she yells/half screams, "GUUURL You can SANG!" hahah!
Jedidah, the sweetheart from Oregon! She is no nonsense, to the point and totally adorable.
Carissa the super cute girl with the awesome smile from.... LOL I don't remember! But she is a doll!
After church, we went out to eat and look who walked in.! Together again! And we had a grand ole' time!
